When is the right time to book services with Eclectica Beauty Studio?
The best time to book services is when you have organized the details for your event. Bookings are based on the time, date and the location you require services. You want to have these details in place before you secure a contract with our studio.
When is the right time to book for a makeup trial and how long will it take?
Anytime is the right time for a trial! In studio trials cost $100+GST and are an all-inclusive experience. This includes false lashes, airbrushing, anything your heart desires. It is a great option to book your trial on a day when you have something you can wear your makeup to but any day is a good day to have your makeup done! Due to our high volume of clients, bridal trials are best within a week or two of the wedding. Did we mention you can have more than 1 trial? Yes! With any booked freelance service, you can come for as many trials as you would like before the event.
How can I secure my preferred date?
Easy! 1. Message us through the site | 2. Give us the required info to create your customized contract | 3. Secure the booking with the deposit | 4. Your services are booked!
Is the Deposit Refundable?
This deposit is entirely non-refundable. Eclectica Beauty blocks the date & time outlined in this contract for you and the services you book. After we block this time in our schedule all other inquiries are turned away.
What if the number of people wanting services change after we create a contract?
If the number of people requiring services increases, we will do our best to accommodate your booking and increase your timeline for that day. If the number decreases prior to the commencement of services, we recommend finding people to take the spots that have been reserved. If the spaces are not filled, this portion of the deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited. We require 48 hours notice given in writing (via email) or the balance of the services (not fulfilled) will be charged in full on the day of services.
Do I need to prepare or bring anything to my appointment?
We provide all the makeup and products to create your look. Here are a few things to consider before you come to your appointment.
- Please take all your makeup off the night before including all your mascara, and apply your normal skincare evening & morning as you routinely would.
- If we are doing your hair, wash your hair the night before as opposed to the morning of the appointment (freshly washed hair never styles as well).
- Consider wearing a shirt w/ a large collar or button up to make it easier to change out of, if you are planning on wearing something different.
- Feel free to bring any pictures you find of hair or make-up that reflects the mood of what you’d like us to create for you. We are quite visual artists so pictures are great but don’t worry if you don’t find anything, we’ll have lots of good ideas once we meet you!
Do I need to bring anything to my Bridal Trial?
There is nothing in particular that you have to bring for your trial. However, if you have pictures you’ve found that inspire the look you’d like to achieve in the session please feel free to bring it with you that day. Also, if you can come clean faced (makeup and mascara free) that would be great! Your bridal trial will take approximately 1-1.5 hours.
Do I require a second artist if there are more than 6 people wanting makeup services?
If available, booking one of our second artists is a great idea for any freelance event over 6 people. It shortens your timeline and allows you more flexibility to add people who may need services. The only cost for adding a second artist to your booking is an additional travel fee for the second artist. All of the other rates remain the same.
Will I need to touch up my lipstick?
Yes, you will likely need to touch up your lip if you eat or drink anything after you have your makeup applied. You are welcome to bring along your lip products and our artists will recommend what would work best from your collection. If you do not have products to touch up with, our artists sell our touch up products (lip pencils, glosses, and lipsticks) for $15 with all makeup applications.
What if my Timeline Changes?
If your timeline for the day you have booked changes, Eclectica Beauty Studio will make every effort to accommodate your requests. Please understand that we book multiple events and changing the timeline is not always possible. This concession will be addressed on a case by case basis.
What if my Event Date Changes?
If the date of the event changes the deposit is non-transferable. The deposit will be forfeited and another deposit will be required to secure the new date and contract.
